We chose a Sanskrit word to describe our practice because it is the language of the first literate, scholarly system of medicine.

Ajith Purush MBBS,MD,

Ajith Purush MBBS, MD, originally from Pondicherry, completed his medical education in India, followed by cardiology outcomes research at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., and an internship and residency in Salem and Boston, MA. Having practiced hospital medicine in the Prescott, AZ, area from 2005 to 2010 and after becoming Yavapai Regional Medical Center’s (YRMC) Physician of the Year in 2006, Dr. Purush is now pursuing his goal of a private primary practice in Prescott. He established this practice in 2011, with the goal of providing personal, comprehensive internal medicine and primary care of the highest quality. Dr. Purush is dedicated to complete healthcare, working with all patients on their specific healthcare needs and their preventive healthcare maintenance. Being responsible for the primary healthcare of his patients, he strives to become a “medical health partner” for the full range of his patients’ healthcare needs.

Miriam Rus, PA-C

Miriam Rus, MPAS, PA-C graduated from A.T. Still University: Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona in 2020. She completed her undergraduate degree in 2016 with a bachelors of science in biology from Grand Canyon University. She spent time working as a CNA on medical/surgical oncology/urology units at Banner Boswell in Sun City, AZ. She also spent time working as a caregiver and assistant manager at a family owned assisted living facility in Peoria, AZ. These experiences led her to further pursue a career in medicine as a physician assistant. She wants to make a difference in her patient’s lives by focusing on whole person health care and increasing quality of life. Miriam is a first generation U.S. born to immigrant parents from Romania. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places.

After Hours and In Case of An Emergency

As your personal doctor, Dr. Purush is committed to being available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you have an emergency after office hours, please call 911. The hospital will contact Dr. Purush to apprise him of your situation, and he will make himself available as the need arises. However, referrals, refills, and new prescriptions will only be authorized during office hours.

Comprehensive Care

We specialize in total healthcare, including care for acute and chronic health conditions, physical exams, and wellness visits. Some of the diseases we commonly manage include, but are not limited to, high blood pressure, diabetes, digestive problems, heart disease, asthma, emphysema, arthritis, cholesterol, renal failure, etc.

Insurance & Medicare

Insurance: We can bill your insurance provider ourselves, or we can provide you with forms so that you may file your insurance claim and be reimbursed directly.

Medicare: Dr. Purush is a participating Medicare physician. As a courtesy to our valued senior patients, we will be glad to file your Medicare forms for you. You, of course, are responsible for paying your copayment and your deductible.

No Hidden Fees

We are concerned with keeping the costs of our services affordable while maintaining our high standards of quality medical care. In our effort to control our administrative costs and to reduce the high costs associated with individual billing, we request that you pay for your office visit on the day of service.
